Hawa Mahal is a beautiful architectural monument founded by King Mohanlal Khan. It is known as Champabagan to the local people. In the distant past, there were a variety of flowers from abroad. These were the habitats of many species of birds, deer, rabbits, and peacocks. In the palace of Hawa Mahal, the scent of wine used to resound on the night of full moon, but today that palace has become abandoned and stands silently. Fortunately, the Heritage Commission of the Government of West Bengal took over the responsibility of its preservation in 2008.
This stage of Narajole is one of the best antiquities of the district. On the second floor of the 40-foot-high three-storied brick building, 12 Deul Ratnas and on the third floor, Deul Ratnas of the same style were made. The stage is surrounded by a porch with a bypass and an entrance. After the reign, a Deul Ratna has been abandoned for a long time. At present, some renovations of the stage have been made possible by the initiative of Narajole Archaeological Preservation Committee. And for the last 30 years, under the management of this committee and with the cooperation of the villagers, Rasutsab is celebrated every year and fairs are held for a few days on that occasion.
To the west of the temple there are six Atchalariti Shivalayas. It is known from a temple inscription that the temple was established by Braj kishore Khan, the fifth son of Mohanlal Khan, in 165 Shakabda. In addition to the regular puja in the temples, puja and jaldhala are performed on Shivchaturdashi and Charak Sankranti.
In 1817, Raja Mohanlal Khan built this unique palace for the summer residence of the kings at a cost of Rs. 60,000 in a large pool. Many foreign tourists flock to Jalhori to see this remarkable architectural monument of the district.
Rash Purnima, Durga Puja, any weekend.
