Address: Follow how to go section.
How to go: Nearest railway station is Jajpur Keonjhar Road. It is more or less 70 km from the spot. From railway station go to Panikoili which is 10 km away, then take Kolkata Chennai highway and reach Chandikhol . Then you can turn left and follow Paradeep-Chandikhol road to go the site.

If you are coming via Cuttack you have to take Sambalpur-Cuttack highway via Mahanadi bridge then take right diversion from Sungura and follow Paradeep-Chandikhol road. You will get to know the information on the way.
Pros: Sites are well maintained, environmental value, photographic elements, road condition
Cons: Lack of necessary shops, communication (public transport)
What to visit ? Lalitgiri, Udaygiri, Ratnagiri (These three makes a Diamond Triangle)
Company: Offbeat place lovers, photographer, friends
Minimum day/time to visit: 1 full day
Locality: Village
Expenses: It depends. Details are being given in note section.
More Information: Points to remember

  • Carry dry foods with you, you will barely find good restaurants or dhabas.
  • We have seen in Lalitgiri and Ratnagiri there are availability of individual guesthouse or hotel nearby, if people want to stay or they fall into an emergency in any site, they can make a night stay. We have not find any guesthouse or hotels nearby Udaygiri.
  • On the way to each site the scenic beauty and environmental value will amaze you.
  • We went in Monsoon, you will love the environmental green and color tone in this season. But be very very careful to get rid of slippery specially in Lalitgiri.. Must avoid summer, choose Winter. You will enjoy the most.
  • Do not try to avail local transport, I repeat don't.It is best to hire a car from Bhubaneswar, Cuttack or Jajpur and make the itinerary clear to the driver.
  • The distance is really long from whereever you start the journey. But Paradeep is nearby to this place. SO if you take hotels nearby Paradeep, you can easily visit these places.
  • The entry fees of Lalitgiri and Ratnagiri is 15 Rs. each. We did not find any ticket system in Udaygiri.
  • Each sites are based on Buddhist archaeological structures and monastery which are well maintained now a days by Archaeological survey of India Authority.
  • First visit Lalitgiri as it is in right side of Paradeep-Chandikhol road if you are coming via Sungura and Udaygiri and Ratnagiri is in left side of the road.
  • Site will remain open from 9 am to 5:30pm daily. Still I will suggest make a call before going.
