More Information:	Thattekadu is the oldest and richest bird sanctuary in Kerala spreader over 25 km in Kothamangalam. Dr. Salim Ali, one of the best known ornithologists, described this sanctuary as the richest bird habitat on peninsular India. Thattekadu has massive flat forest along with largest river of Kerala that is Periyar river. Since people come into bird photography they target Thattekadu once in life time considering it is a dream birding destination. So did I. In Thattekadu you might have heard about some renounce guide who will take you to various places for birding. Eldho’s in Thattekadu was the most popular guide few years back. After he died his family are taking care of this business and currently they have guide Vimal who takes group of birders by a traveller. Except that there are another guide we have came across he is Vinod Thattekkad (Facebook Profile +91 9946042711) As per our plan for 4 days 3 nights they divide the places for birding. Among those one day they keep for Munnar birding and other three are for local. Birding happens all day long including night and Jacob gives effort to show you the best birds around. For 4 days 3 night for 3 people they charge 20k per head including everything starting from car, guide, food, accommodation, hide and so on.
