More Information: | Not enough to describe Mathura and Vrindavan in words. Different people visit there for different purpose along with different itinerary throughout the years. This is true that there are no particular season to visit these place. That’s my most of the times of a year you will find it over crowded specially in weekends. And in occasions like Holi, Rash and Janmashtami you will find most of the Indians and foreigners gather to experience it. Mathura and Vrindavan can’t be covered in one time you go. It has uncountable temples throughout the city. Each temples and places has its own identity and specialty. Every lane in Vrindavan will give you divine vibes that once you go you will never forget. Whatever Shant people say about these place I personally feel the same. The vibes will change you in several good ways, it may change your thoughts, mentality, lifestyle and many things within you. You will feel like visiting there every year. Vrindavan is kind of city where you can visit places and temples by walk only. Yea it may take 4/5 days to cover it all if you are going at first time. Depending on your itinerary you can reduce or increase time span. Battery car is roaming here and there throughout the city, if you feel needed to roam by those you can do that too. We mainly targeted 9 main temple inside Vrindavan which we studied are worth visiting. Many we couldn’t cover in our first visit. We mostly visit by walk in 3 days as per our plan. most of the temples remain closed in afternoon but in morning and evening. So get informations about the timing before visiting. We couldn’t properly visit Mathura due to lack of time and heavy rain fall. But what we understood to visit Mathura you have to book any car because all places are far from each other. So it takes time to cover it all. Throughout Vrindavan you will find lot of hotels, eateries and market which will create another greatest attraction of your visit. Don’t miss evening Yamuna Aarti in Yamuna ghat, taking bath in Yamuna, boat ride. Also don’t miss activities like gou seva, feeding monkeys, buying stuff from local market, making donations wherever you feel like etc. Don’t forget to have lassi outside Banke bihari temple and buying sweets. There are another attraction to meet Premananda Maharaj in Parikrama Marg every day around 2 am as he visit Radha Keli Kunj from his home by walking with other shants for morning Satsang. You will get to see him near by also you will see uncountable people wait there to have his darshana. You can also join his Satsang by forming queue outside of Radha Keli Kunj, for that you have to visit early as it is first come first serve. If you want to meet guruji personally you have to enroll your name a day ago before 9 am. For that also you have to maintain queue inside Radha Keli Kunj. Vrindavan is an amazing place for photography. Specially architectural and portraits. Inside the temple mostly photographs are not allowed but people use mobile to take pictures. Banke Bihari is the only temple where you will find excess crowd all the time, local people always alert you to keep your wallet and mobile phone safe inside these temples. In temples beware of monkey attacks as they mostly snatch your glasses, hat and mobile. Along with many other restaurants Iskcon temple restaurant provides good food. You can try it. |
