More Information: | Intro - Like many other cities of Madhyapradesh, Jabalpur is a bit different in respect to culture and lifestyle. People are pretty simple and religious, small market around the city, proper local transport is running every single day. Hotels are there in the main city which is around 20 min drive from railway station. You will find proper constructed road around the city...... I barely find local bus service so frequently. In Jabalpur at the present time you hardly find signal system on the road rather people are driving with own understanding. In Jabalpur there are few beautiful places to visit. Gwarighat (Narmada Aarti) In your MP trip if you ever plan to visit Jabalpur, don't miss evening Narmada aarti. From Jabalpur city itself it is around 20 min journey by car. You have to mention the name Gwarighat. It starts around 6 pm every single day for six month and another six month they start around 6:30 pm. That 30 min prayer will heal your stress for sure. Another try you should do to visit the Gwarighat in early morning. It creates extremely calm and fresh environment in the morning. Do nothing just sit in the bank of the river for 1 or 2 hours, take the fresh breathe. Have something from nearby shop as a breakfast and then come back. Dhuandhar Water Fall & Marble Rocks Dhuandhar Water Fall is around 30 km away from the city. River Narmada is making marble rocks through which it flows in that region. It changes it's color seasonally. You may think it is a god gift. Local guides will take you to its view points as per your wish. The best time to go to this place is November to January why because you can avail boating from Bhedaghat which allows you to pass between marble rocks by boat. You can take amazing pictures of water and marble rocks. Another reason to choose this time is you will get the beautiful color of water and rocks during this period. It will be better if you choose afternoon time. The boat cost is not that much, around 50 rs only and the timing is 30 min and so. During Winter you will get the best view of the waterfall why because the water level will be pretty low and crystal clear. So choose your journey wisely. Talking about rope way, it gives you the service to fetch you the other side of Narmada above the waterfall to provide you the best view of it. It costs around 50 rs for both way. This service gets stop during Monsoon due to the high water level of the river. Chausath Yogini temple Chausath Yogini Temple is one of the oldest heritages which was built in 10th Century AD by the Kalachuri kingdom. The temple is resemblance with Khajuraho style which abodes goddess Durga and her 64 yoginis. At the present time you will see Lord Shiva inside the main temple. The entire premises is pretty big and if you roam around the temple, you will feel refreshed. Several big trees have been planted on that area and from that location top you will clearly see river Narmada flowing. One must visit this place. |
