Most of the time it happens that we have only weekend and we cant go far for refreshment. Garhchumuk will give you the opportunity to spend time with family. Main advantage is this is very nearby to Kolkata. Transport: One can come to Uluberia. From there you can hire or take shared auto to reach the destination. Bus service is also available. You have to say 58 gates stoppage . Stay: WBFDC Resort is an absolutely nice place to stay. The accommodation, food quality, management all are good. The resort has been made just beside the meeting point of Damodar and Hoogly river. The compound is well maintained and decorated with garden. The terrace is so wide and open to hangout. Rooms are well accommodated and balconies are fantastic specially the riverside. Rajkumar Mullick is the caretaker who maintain the resort very well. Most remarkable person is the cook named Joydev Das, you will be highly impressed once you taste the food he cooks. What to visit: Roaming on the bank of the river can easily give you the relaxation and oxygen you need. Besides that you can visit Burul which is in opposite side of Hoogly river, you can go for few hours to sit back under the huge Banyan tree and relax and spend time in boat while processing the journey. That can be the time pass and refreshment. Another thing is you can visit Garhchumuk deep park nearby which is one of the best visit for Winter. Also besides that you can find 58 gates dam. You can also visit Belari Ramakrishna Ashram nearby. Nearby Destination: You can save time for Gadiara and Nurpur which is approx 22 km from the resort. You can visit there for mesmerizing sunset. |
