More Information: | Everyone who lives in Bangalore, the national park called Bannerghatta is very much well known to them. But sometimes this happens that nearby visiting places where we live remains unexplored because we think we may go there anytime but unfortunately that doesn’t happen. This is easily accessible for the city people and it comes under a budget tour as well. Ohhh yes, local transport is very much available and it doesn’t take much time to reach to this place. Let’s go inside. Either be into the queue and get the ticket by paying cash or you can be smarter to pay online by checking the tariff from the displayed chart. Once you buy the ticket online, a barcode will be sent to your mail. You just need to verify it to the entry point. So Bannerghatta national park has three part of entertainment. One is zoo, another one is safari and last but not the least Butterfly park. Let’s move to the zoo first, later we will cover the safari. So you can pause the video and take a look at the road map. You will also find baby care unit and library inside the zoo. So let’s talk about some important factors of this national park. General visitors may consider it as a basic zoo which are being found in many other states as well. But if you drove down deeper, you will see the entire park is a conservation centre of rich biodiversity and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Life on Land. At present above 2300 animals belongs to this land including zoo and cage free areas. Over 102 species are protected in naturalistic environment. Not only that, they have been given veterinary care every single time and rescue other animals too. You can carry food inside the zoo, but never throw out plastic bags and bottles. You can also find snack shops and hotels outside of the campus and few standard restaurants inside the zoo. Another main objective of this park is to create awareness and inspire citizens to showcase the connections between survival of species and protect their natural habitat. That’s why you will find less amusement but very straightforward approach towards animals. One of the best approach which you need to know is Bannerghatta national park is open for taking applications for adoption of the cage animals. Do you understand what I just said! Yes you hear me right. There is an on spot adoption process where you can enrol your name to adopt specific animal and take care of it raising funds and taking other cares. And I saw the name of the parents has been mentioned in front of most of the cages. Waooo what a great initiative. The park is absolutely comes under forest area, which causes 0 deforestation and consists of unlimited type of flora and fauna. To attract visitors, the authority creates basic amenities and necessary installation inside the parks which might be useful. The lush green trees are creating shades everywhere inside the campus. Securities and volunteers are roaming around to control the visitors. You will notice every single cage itself an accurate habitat for every single animals, that means animals won’t feel captive inside the cage. So that is the basic difference between a zoo and conservation centre. Safari Okay let’s talk about safari. When you first collect the ticket it’s better to combine it with zoo, safari and butterfly garden all together. I hope you already get the tariff in the starting of the video. So I have taken 50+330 that means 380 rs ticket for zoo and safari by non ac bus. So for non ac bus it is highly recommended to take window seat specially when you want to make video or take photographs. Or else you can skip window side seat. Because non ac bus will be covered by cage for safety reason. For ac bus you can take any seat as it is covered with clean glass only. Seat allocation is not permitted so better be in front side of the queue. There is a single seat is front beside the driver, that is also cool. Left side is good for elephants, tigers, lions and right side is good for neelguy, spotted deer, bear etc. Last bus for safari starts before 4:30 pm. So you will be taken into the protected forest area by bus. And the part of the forest is divided into specific zone based on different animals separated by lock gates. Forest guards are in charge of opening the gates when buses are coming and drivers are the one who will show you the animals. First gate will open for Deer and Neelguy, second for elephants and crocodile, third for bears, fourth for lions, fifth for tigers. All animals are roaming wide open just one of few tigers are kept inside the cage due to some reason. So I must tell you that this safari is pretty much worthy because the driver knows the region where the animals could be as they create habitat for those. I haven’t try to visit butterfly park. You can go and explore by own. One thing to remember that zoo is closed on Tuesday. For more information visit https://bannerghattabiologicalpark.org/ |
