| Breeding season: | February to August in India, peaking during pre-monsoon and monsoon months. Courtship includes cooing, bowing, and mutual preening. |
| Breed in: | Builds a simple stick nest in trees, shrubs, or building ledges. Clutch size is 2 eggs, incubated by both parents. Both parents feed the chicks. |
| Habitat: | Prefers open woodlands, scrublands, farmlands, villages, and urban gardens. Often seen near water sources and agricultural fields. |
