| Approximate size(adult): | Length about 12–13 cm; weight ~7–10 g. Small, slender warbler with pale brown upperparts, whitish underparts, and a faint eyebrow (supercilium). |
| Resident/ Migrate from: | Breeds in Central and South Asia, including parts of northern India, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, and southern Russia. Migratory species. |
| Migrate to: | Winters in the Indian subcontinent and East Africa, moving south after the breeding season. |
| Breeding season: | May to August, depending on latitude. Pairs form territories during spring migration and breed soon after arrival. |
| Breed in: | Nests are built low in grasses or shrubs, made of fine stems and lined with soft materials. Clutch size is typically 3–5 eggs, incubated by the female. Both parents feed the chicks. |
| Habitat: | Prefers open scrublands, grasslands, agricultural fields, and edges of wetlands. During migration and winter, found in bushy or weedy areas and gardens. |
