| Approximate size(adult): | About 31–35 cm in length; wingspan 80–95 cm; weight around 200–300 g. A small, graceful raptor with pale grey upperparts, white underparts, and distinctive black shoulder patches. Eyes are strikingly red, and the flight is buoyant and falcon-like. |
