Brown-capped pygmy woodpecker

Muthyala Maduvu, Anekal, Karnataka

A very tiny little bird probably spotted in Muthyala Maduvu in Bangalore. I mean there must be few other places to find this bird but if someone wants to get it for sure, he must go to Pearl valley because it nests in a particular dead tree and birders spotted it already.

A woodpecker, obviously it can’t be stay calm, but luckily sometimes it stay still on that tree and look at the same wood. I wonder what it thinks actually that time. Its brown head is clearly visible and it is a fearless bird. One can get a very good picture as it doesn’t move around bushes but a bald tree.

Having a point and shoot camera I had to struggle a lot and spend so many days to get some good pictures but everytime I became upset for the pictures I took, the next day I get better one. That’s how my hunts for this bird gets over.
